How to prepare a custom stationery RFQ.
A useful request for quotation does not need a finished production file. It needs enough context for the supplier to understand the product direction and confirm the project-specific details without guessing.
1. Start with the product route
Choose the closest category and product reference. State the intended use, customer type and whether the project is a single item, retail set or gift-ready collection.
2. Give a quantity and target market
Provide the planned quantity, target market and delivery destination. If timing matters, state whether you are ready to source now, planning a launch or comparing options.
3. Describe only the parameters you know
Include any known size, material, page, binding, color, finish, printing or packaging direction. If these are not decided, describe the desired look and use instead of inventing technical terms.
4. Add a visual reference
Upload an image, PDF, sketch or link when available. A reference can show the expected product shape, artwork direction, packaging style or level of finish even before final artwork is ready.
5. Ask for the project-specific confirmation
MOQ, sample options, production timing and final configuration depend on the selected product, quantity, packing and destination. Ask for these points to be confirmed together, rather than treating a generic figure as an order commitment.
